Our Origins

UrgentMED was founded in 2004 by three physicians seeking to provide a professional, efficient, and patient-centered urgent care facility to meet the growing need for walk-in medical services in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Our Philosophy

At UrgentMED we believe that ideally your own personal or family physician is the best person to take care of your health care needs. We also understand that this is not always possible. Your physician might not be in the office today or might not have any more available appointment slots. You may have just moved to the area and not yet had a chance to find a new doctor. Or perhaps you’re one of the millions of Americans who is young, healthy, and simply doesn’t have a personal physician. Whatever the reason, if a personal physician is not able to take care of your pressing health care need today, UrgentMED is available to you.

Our Services 

UrgentMED is staffed by urgent care specialists. Our physicians are board-certified in pediatrics, internal medicine and family medicine. Our nurse practitioner is board-certified in family medicine. Our nursing staff includes RNs and LPNs who are experienced, professional and caring. We routinely evaluate many kinds of acute illness including infections, painful conditions, and minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and sprains. We also perform sports, DOT, and pre-operative physicals with no advance notice. We have available a wide range of laboratory and x-ray options. If necessary, we will assist you in coordinating follow-up health care with your regular doctor, setting up a referral to a subspecialist, admission to a hospital, or arranging transfer to an emergency room. At UrgentMED we realize that acute medical conditions come up unexpectedly and at such times we trust we will be a convenient, efficient, and friendly medical resource for you. Our knowledgeable medical providers also realize that health care is far too important to be driven simply by speed and convenience. Therefore, although most visits to UrgentMED are relatively quick, our goal is always to provide you with quality medical care, ensuring that you receive the personalized time and attention your particular health problem requires.
